Butterfly Conservation is a member of the Fundraising Regulator Board self-regulatory scheme. The Fundraising Regulator works to ensure that organisations raising money for charity from the public do so honestly and properly. We follow the Code of Fundraising Practice and comply with the key principles embodied in the Code and in Our Fundraising Promise.

Membership is part of Butterfly Conservation’s constitution and at the heart of the organisation.  When you join we promise to:

  • Keep you up to date with our work via Butterfly magazine three times a year, regular Branch newsletters and other relevant mailings
  • Administer your membership efficiently, tell you when your renewal is due and how much it will cost.
  • Keep our servicing and recruitment costs as low as possible to ensure more of your subscription is used to fund conservation work.
  • Manage your personal data and ensure that all your transactions are secure and meet the strict compliance standards of the Data Protection Act.
  • Deal with your requests or any issues you have as quickly and effectively as we can.

  • Use your donation wisely and responsibly and respect your wishes for it to be used for a specific purpose.
