Butterfly Conservation is saddened to be beginning a consultation with a limited number of staff over a restructure that is entirely driven by the need to cut costs in the face of ongoing financial pressure.
At a time when butterflies, moths and the environment need us more than ever before, it is devastating to be reducing resource. However, financial pressure, including the recent increase in Employers National Insurance Contributions, has left us with no choice but to reduce our costs.
Taking this action allows us to continue being an ambitious organisation, protecting a future for butterflies, moths, and for people. The charitable and environmental sectors are facing hard times. With your continued support we strive to overcome the challenges and remain focused on our mission to save butterflies, moths and the environment.
