There were 27 people on the Foulden common walk and we managed to see both target species, Several people had never seen either of these butterflies before and in spite of the number of people we managed
to ensure that everyone got a sighting and the pictures they wanted. We also saw and heard cuckoo and yellow hammer and found a grass snake. Weather improved rapidly and our first event of the season has got
us off to a very good start. 10 different species of butterflies were seen during the morning.
